That’s an invitation from the Melvin family -- Tim, Bev, Steve and Kate -- who took over Heritage Pizza at 924 South State Street in Lockport in July 2014. Now transformed to Mel’s Heritage Pizza and Catering – after more than a decade in the main thoroughfare of downtown - guests will find an enhanced menu and ambiance: perfect for family dining.

Of course that starts with pizza. Fresh fixings are standard no matter the style: thin crust, thick crust, deep dish or stuffed, with toppings ranging from sausage to pineapple to Canadian bacon to jalapenos.

For meat lovers, a rib rub from a secret family recipe enhances half and full slabs, which also can be paired with chicken or shrimp in a variety of dinner options. Then there’s the Genuine Broaster® chicken. Generous portions of the distinctive, juicy entrée are offered alongside more than a dozen side items. Calzones are overstuffed, whether diners order them in small, medium or large. The popular beef roll (the most loyal in Lockport refer to it as the “Heritage Roll) is filled with Italian beef, fresh mozzarella and cheddar cheese and is topped with homemade garlic butter. Or choose a pizza calzone and pack it with your favorite toppings.
